Agenda: Creating Long Term Policy Framework for One Belt One Road (OBOR) Initiative with respect to Indo-China Relations in the 21st Century
About the Committee
Parliamentary Standing Committee on External Affairs comprises of not more than 45 members of which 30 are nominated from the Lok Sabha by the Speaker and 15 are nominated from the Rajya Sabha by the Chairman. This departmentally constituted standing committee endeavours to provide Parliamentary surveillance over administration concerning External Affairs. The committee is in a very privileged position to provide necessary direction, guidance and inputs for broad policy formulations pertaining to diplomatic relations, foreign administrative services among other related objectives, chief of which is the achievement of the long-term national perspective by the Executive.
