Zenith Model United Nations is the annual MUN hosted by Miranda House, University of Delhi.
Zenith MUN has come a long way in a short span of time. The first edition of ZMUN was held in 2012. It has served as a plethora of debating and brainstorming since then. With an average of over 200 students from across the length and breadth of the country, ZMUN has grown in substantially different ways, and this year too, we are hoping to redefine how Model UNs are conducted.
We are back with the sixth edition of ZMUN which will be held on the 4th and 5th of March, 2017.
To quote John Oliver,
Model United Nations is an educational simulation in which students at both school and collegiate level gain insight into the workings of the United Nations and the dynamics of international relations by assuming the roles of UN representatives and members of other international bodies and national cabinets.
Model UN has often been described by its propagandists, as a platform for young people to express their views and opinions, engage in the formidable art of diplomacy, deliberate the myriad aspects of multifarious global issues and work towards the strengthening of democracy and world peace.
However, the true spirit of Model United Nations does not solely lie in great diplomacy or resolute debates but in the great empathy and regard for all shades of opinions in one arena in a given moment.
